last year.

Last year this time...

 I was taking 22 credit hours in school. (kept a 3.8 GPA)

I had two jobs.

I was on a college dance team, performing at every home basketball game (girls and boys).


I was part of a college dance program, putting together our winter concert that was just around the corner and spending long nights practicing.

Don't know how I did it. But I like pushing myself - I right now feel like I'm not doing enough with my life. I want to continue my degree in education, but at the same time I want a dance degree. Sooo... today I decided that I will go back for my B.F.A. (bachelors of fine arts) that will allow me to teach dance in a high school, as well as work on my Interdisciplinary Education (k-8) degree online. Whew! All while hopefully working full time and keeping my relationships alive.

Happy Monday. I love Mondays, they get the week rollin' and I just really enjoy getting stuff done. I am one busy girl...

weekly agenda -
Monday - APA, run 5 bajillion errands, teach at Esteem.
Tuesday - APA, gym, colton
Wednesday - gym, APA, doctors appt, teach at Esteem
Thursday - APA, eyelash appt, gym, colton + double date
Friday - APA, gym, colton + cory's bday party
Saturday - gym, dance class, ........................?
Sunday - work at the spa club & get ready to do it alll over again.

And people wonder why I hardly communicate with them. Sorry folks!

"I Will Miss you in the Summer"

While handing back old classwork to my students I gave them the option to take it home or recycle it. When I called on one of my very favorite students, A.H. he replied...

"Recycle...noooo....take home, yes!Take home! I know I'm gonna miss you sooo much this summer it will remind me of you."

By the way - this kid melts my heart every single day. He is a refugee from Kenya, Africa and is the most; kind, willing, friendly, hilarious, and genuine student I could ask for. He really appreciates all he has and I love when he tells me stories about Africa.

Dance Combos

I've been teaching dance at Esteem Dance in Draper since this summer and I absolutely love it. I taught a new combo in my jazz class that is learning a routine to Florence and the Machine's "Heavy in your Arms" I will have to put a video of that up when it's ready. They are having trouble with it (except for one or two girls) but they will get it. Also, here is a combo from my technique class I teach. We always do a quick combo at the end of each class that I somehow make up from the top of my head... This week it was Rhianna's "Rehab". Love dancing with these talented young ladies! :)

A student calls out, "Geeeez everything is made in china these days, I swear!" - E.G.

bahahahaa. and I laughed for a good five minutes before proceeding. kids.

One Month.

New

I've decided I really need to start a blog. I'm not going to blog to whine about my feelings - I'm blogging to remember the memories. I hate whiny blogs - so I won't do it. Or depressing blogs, obviously I hate depressing blogs. That's like saying I hate; spiders, liars, rotten food....you get it.

I teach school. Third grade to be exact, and there are too many things to pass up not to blog about. Every day in my life I laugh or smile or my heart is warmed by a beautiful child. I thought about only blogging about things that happen in the classroom because I knew people would love enjoying it... but then I thought about so many other things I could blog about like...boots, holidays, my family, food, hot celebs.

I find myself hilarious, so...enjoy.
